I'm very ill, but at least I have seen a doctor and received meds for my sickness. Hopefully, in another five days, I shall be better.

In other news, I'm editing another chapter of Versailles Undone to get it ready for posting, and I'm almost finished with an artwork for [livejournal.com profile] lilithbint that I've been working on since December (it is a very, very belated Christmas gift).

I've got quite a list of fandom things to accomplish this summer before I start working on my Masters thesis. I hope I can accomplish a few of them.
Yeah, I saw Hostel III, and I heard spoilers about a certain comic that just came out. Guess which one I think constitutes torture porn? It's Trope City, my bad pennies. I'm not really surprised because I was guessing this would happen since late Season Eight, but good-everloving-night!

Spoilers behind the cut. )

I think I may be giving up on Acceptable Losses at this point. I don't think I can continue with that plot anymore. I want to finish it, but every time I try to finish the editing, the fucking "canon" material makes a mockery of everything I was trying to do and then I have to do re-writes. I don't know if it's worth it because it hasn't been updating in so long. Maybe I should post it as it is without doing anymore editing to it with typos and all.

Some of you may recall that my most recent "life woe" was my apartment situation. Just as I handed over the initial deposit for the apartment, the management suddenly told me that I had to have renter's insurance with $100,000 liability, and they wanted me to use a shady Internet company (that only accepted payments in automatic bank drafts) to get it. Well, I got a lot of quotes, and all of them were insanely expensive for coverage, and I was so downtrodden after a few days that I got back my initial deposit and some of the other fees that I had already paid from the management. Long story short, my mom found out through her insurance company that I could get very reasonable insurance through them. After talking again to the management and finding out the apartment was still available, I went out, got the insurance, gave the checks for the deposit and fees back, and I am once again moving into the apartment on the 28th of October. All that's left to do is to get the electricity set up to be turned on on that date. *deep breath* This whole situation is giving me panic attacks that SOMETHING ELSE will go wrong.

And now for something more pleasant:
Help Fender Decide Which Ficlet to Post Next!
Should I post...
Option 1: Another flashback ficlet featuring wee little William and his parents... or....
Option 2: A Spangel fluffy ficlet that may or may not mention "double rainbows."
I was forced to give up my Motorola Razor that I've had for 5+ years the other day. Since I'm still on my mother's cellphone plan and her phone broke, she wanted a SmartPhone which means that I had to get one too so that I could figure it out first and then show her how to use it... from three hours away. It turned into the biggest drama-llama-drama ever, and it's still not over.

Cut for phone nonsense.... )

Sorry that I haven't gotten to reply to my newer comments. I don't have that much access to the computer at the moment, and school is trying to kill me, but that's a whole 'nother kettle of demented fish.

It's been a rough couple of days, and I am being emo.

Sigh... )

I want to move to the U.K. Does anyone need a live-in housekeeper/art instructor with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design? I keep a neat house. I would only need to be paid in food... and access to the Internet... and a plane ticket...

I've got sad news yet again. This morning we had another large lightning storm. For the second time in two years, our phone blew up (it was the one electronic item we forgot to unplug), but none of our computers or such got ruined this time...

Normally, during storms, because the wind is pretty violent, we bring in the wreath from the front door, but since the bird's nest was in it and the mother robin had just returned and was chirping and settled, we decided it might be best not to disturb the wreath for fear of dislodging the nest. The wind whipped up so badly that the robin flew off, and we decided that we should try to bring the wreath in nest and all. Unfortunately, by the time I got to it, the nest had been blown to the ground, and the little egg was broken.

Just a little while ago, the robin came back. She flew around the window, hopped around the nest on the ground (the rain had washed the remains of the egg away), and then sat on the railing of our stoop, looking at the window where the wreath had been. She flew off again, and now she's back yet again. She's sitting on the door knob, chirping. It sounds heartbreaking. I know it's just a bird, but I feel awful. Why did it have to storm today?

I feel awful. When I opened our front door this morning, a large robin flew off from inside the enormous wreath we have hanging there. I started checking the wreath to make sure that the bird hadn't eaten or carried off any of the flowers or ribbons, and I was shocked to see a perfect nest inside the loop... and my heart sank to see a teeny little blue egg inside it. I sincerely hope the bird returns because I feel awful for disturbing it. ;__;

We had YET ANOTHER storm rip through our town today. For the first time, we had damage done to our house. It tore the shutters off our windows across the front of our home. I am so sick of this weather.

Ats, on the other hand, not so much. Maybe I haven't repeated enough Ats episodes to create the pocket of pain in my brain that BtVS already has burrowed into. *head-desk*

I need some aspirin.

Argh. Ordered a gift for my mom from Macy's. Macy's sent my package to the WRONG ADDRESS (they sent it to my old college address that I haven't used in over two years and actually deleted from my account long ago). I had to spend several hours on the phone with Macy's and UPS about what to do since the school post office was closed. UPS was kind enough to leave them a message to hold the package until I can call them with instructions about what I want to do with it, but who knows if they'll actually check their messages! I have to get up at the crack of dawn to call down there, but I hope I can get it worked out.

And then I fell on my bad knee after slipping on an icy patch outside of my grandmother's house. Both my right arm and leg are effed up pretty bad, but at least I didn't hit my head.

Oh, I fail at NaNoWriMo. This is the fifth year I have tried to complete a novel on there, and this is going to be the fifth year of failure. I'm up to 49,013 words, which is the closest I've ever gotten to completion, but sadly the last 2,000 words of that were actually the rough outline for the sequel to the novel I am trying to get up to top mark for... so... I fail. I am beaten down yet again! *falls over*
