Title:A Christmas Tale.
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fenderlove
Rating: PG.
Notes: The following is set in one of the AUs created by Brian Lynch in the ID Angel comics in which Angel managed to rescue Connor from being kidnapped by Holtz but pushed his friends away in the process and his continuing paranoia. Angel turned to Spike as the only person left who he trusts to care for toddler Connor in his absence.
Summary It's Christmas, and it looks like Santa's running a bit late.

This is my first Marvel-related fanfic I've written in a very, very long time. Definitely the first one I've put on Livejournal at least! XD

I'm giving myself fifteen minutes before I teach my next class to write a fic. And go!

Title: The Hills of Concrete Lies.
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fenderlove
Rating: PG/Worksafe.
Summary: Spike and Angel are on a quest.

Onwards to the fic! )
Hi, all. I thought I would share something that I've been working on for a while-- my Buffyverse fanon timeline. These are basically dates that I use when I'm writing most of my fanfics to keep up with backstory and such. It's quite insane extensive, I think. I'm still working on formatting it, spellchecking it, and making sure that I've got everything accounted for (this has been copied and pasted from like four different Word documents).

What's included: Canon material from both shows, quasi-canon material (from the Tales of the Slayers and Tales of the Vampires comics), random material from various sources like other comics and novels that I enjoyed, and my own fanon creations from my fanfics (and also from writing fanfic with [livejournal.com profile] kidcyclone. Believe it or not, I've kept things pretty much the same for Spike's family history since I started writing fanfic back in 2000.

At the moment, this timeline only goes through the end of S3. The details from the show aren't that... well, detailed. I was more interested at those points about getting major events, such as character deaths, and the in-between stuff. Also, be warned that there may be some stuff out of order because I'm still arranging and re-arranging.

To make it easier, for myself and others, I've italicized any fanon stuff. You'll notice that even in some canon entries I've italicized a few things because the details within the canon material were not clear or I felt too much like I was making an assumption.

Enjoy the depths of my madness! :D

Check this bad boy out! :D )
Title: Snowbankrupt.
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fenderlove
Rating: R/Not Worksafe.
Warnings: Foul language, frottage, mentions of past sexiness, and manpire-on-manpire action.
Summary: Prequel to my WIP Acceptable Losses. Angel and Spike find themselves trapped in a car down a snowy embankment. What are two delectable manpires to do?

Title: Rest Ye Bedlam Vampires
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fenderlove
Rating: PG.
Warnings: Mentions of past evils, character deaths, and madness.
Summary: Spike and Drusilla spend Christmas Eve at the Mosaic Wellness Institute and Demon Rehabilitation Center. Takes place after my ficlet Ampwish and makes reference to one of the shorts from Twelve Christmases in the Life and Unlife of William H. Pratt.

Title: Ode to the Family Pratt
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fenderlove
Rating: G.
Warnings: None.
Summary: Spike writes a (bloody awful) poem to honor his father's side of the family.

Title: The Lyre of Orphans
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fenderlove
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Mentions of male/male intimacy.
Summary: Angel and Spike are searching for something, but maybe they're looking in the wrong places.

If I made Cinderella, the audience would immediately be looking for a body in the coach. -- Alfred Hitchcock

What would you expect to find in my fic?

Title: Ampwish
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fenderlove
Rating: PG-13.
Warnings: Mentions of major characters deaths. I'm going somewhat dark with this one.
Summary: At the end of the Spike series, our heroic blonde vampire left Drusilla at the Mosaic Wellness Center in the care of Dr. Thilbault and Malposo in Primm, Nevada. Several months later, Spike has returned with a new patient for the asylum.
Notes: The title for this ficlet was inspired by a misheard lyric in Carbon Leaf's "Life Less Ordinary." Also, I think that writing this has effectively reconciled Season Eight for me. Read on to see why and how and whatever.

I can't believe this is the last one! This has been really fun! :D

30 – Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!

Automated Utopia is my favourite fanfic that I've written. I think it's my favourite because it felt like an accomplishment as the first long!fic I finished, and I really got such positive feedback about it that it encouraged me to continue writing fics.

Also, writing in a steampunk AU was an interesting experience. I enjoyed taking the characters out of the comfort zone I was used to writing them in and putting them in a brand new world. I got to do a lot of fun research into Victorian England and steam technology. It's provided a lot of inspiration for future fics and made me feel more confident in my writing.

Cut for the answer to Days 1-29... )

I just realized that the start day for the prompt I wrote a ficlet for is the 16th not the 15th! Darn it! *impatient*

Currently finished but still posting: Acceptable Losses and Versailles Undone

Currently finished but unposted yet: Automated Utopia II and as-of-yet-untitled Paper Pusher sequel, and Spin the Baby Bottle I and II (ficlets).

28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?

I've never done a writing collab, but I have done a collaboration with [livejournal.com profile] whichclothes on The Heart that Seeks Pleasure First for the [livejournal.com profile] nekid_spike tag-team challenge. She did the writing, and I did the art.

I also did an artwork for [livejournal.com profile] lilithbint's Preschool and another for [livejournal.com profile] whichclothes's Memento Mori: Hominem Te Memento. :D I hope that my fics will one day inspire someone to do art!
