Once upon a time...

I'm absconding this idea from coalitiongirl who did an awesome character picspam. On my list, I've included a few comic book characters as they are part of my canonical BtVS/Ats experience... and there are five main characters from BtVS conspicuously absent from the list. Most of you don't need but one guess to pick those select few that got left off. Haha! I'm predictable in my nerd!rage. :D Pic/quote banners ahoy! With gradients! :D

Title: Kingyo-Sukui.

Summary: Since Jeanty sorta got an art piece from me, I thought I whip up something for Brian Lynch. Kingyo-sukui is Japanese for goldfish scooping, which is an activity at many fairs and festivals where children can catch goldfish to keep as pets. I got the idea in my head of Spike, Beck, and Betta George go to visit Tok in Japan, and they all get dressed up in fancy kimonos to go to a summer festival. I imagined that Tok's little sister Kaori might try her hand at kingyo-sukui, but that would probably make George a little sad, so they decide to let the little fish free in a pond... and then it turns out that what they thought was a plain old goldfish was actually a sparkly teeny baby Splendeen demon! I'm calling him Betta Kin.
I'm totally writing fic to go with this... and just to note, this is the first time I've drawn Spike in a men's kimono. Normally I draw him in a furisode. XD

Here's my as-I-read-it thoughts on #17 of Angel: After the Fall. It's quick and it's gritty 'cause I'm so mad I could take my earrings off! The issue was excellent by the way; I'm mad at Brian Lynch though. He can suck my non-existent metaphorical ten-incher right now (and he can call that consensual). *flips him the mighty V*
