fenderlove: James Marsters with Romeo and Juliet quote over it. (Default)

I feel awful. When I opened our front door this morning, a large robin flew off from inside the enormous wreath we have hanging there. I started checking the wreath to make sure that the bird hadn't eaten or carried off any of the flowers or ribbons, and I was shocked to see a perfect nest inside the loop... and my heart sank to see a teeny little blue egg inside it. I sincerely hope the bird returns because I feel awful for disturbing it. ;__;

I'm sure it will be back. We had a mourning dove nest in one of our hanging plants on the front porch and all went well.

Hearing that makes me feel better. I hope it will come back in a few hours.

It should come back, we've had birds nesting in light fixtures and hanging plants over the years.

Don't worry your opening the door only scared it off for a little bit. It'll come back as soon as you stop checking! :P

Hehe, I've been too afraid to even go back in the living room for fear that it will see me through the window and fly off again! XD

The mama robin returned a few minutes ago. She made a lot of noise when she came back. I'm staying totally away from the door just in case.
