fenderlove: James Marsters with Romeo and Juliet quote over it. (Default)

I feel awful. When I opened our front door this morning, a large robin flew off from inside the enormous wreath we have hanging there. I started checking the wreath to make sure that the bird hadn't eaten or carried off any of the flowers or ribbons, and I was shocked to see a perfect nest inside the loop... and my heart sank to see a teeny little blue egg inside it. I sincerely hope the bird returns because I feel awful for disturbing it. ;__;

The mama robin returned! She made a lot of racket when she came back to the nest, and I am staying as far away from the door as possible (luckily, we use a different door for everyday purposes). I'm now squeeing. There's going to be a baby robin living on my door! :D My mother is less than thrilled about the bird messing up her $70 wreath. How a bird built a wreath and laid an egg within 10 hours I will never know.
