Things have been a little hectic what with the first week of school starting. I've already been doing a lot of grading. Plus, I've been working on an artwork for the winner of my Tumblr contest. I got a little... over-ambitious with it, so it's taking forever, but I think it'll be worth it. I might have time tonight to work on it.

In other news, I had a story submission deadline today, and I sent mine at about 2:30PM. I hope they received it. I had one of those moments where, after I submitted the story, I thought to myself, "Oh, shit... What I wrote isn't happy enough. They won't want this; it's going to depress people." And then I get a little sad myself, wondering why I can't seem to write happy things. All I write is angst. Angst with stupid cute things thrown in that nobody finds funny but me. *head-desk*

From what I understand, they need thirty-one stories for this anthology (it's an advent calendar thingie, like a story-a-day for the month of December). I figure that, maybe, that gives me a fighting chance. Then again, mine will be one of the shorter ones (I barely got over the word count), and I have no idea if that's a good or bad thing.

I just keep trying because, one day, something has to give with this.

*hugs* Thank you! I think I write angst 'cause I like angst, and holidays/winter time causes a lot of it for many people and their loved ones, so there's always that, so I guess it might fit with DSP's prompt! XD

And if I get published, I can actually start using the pseudonym Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter pages I created for the occasion! Right now, they don't have much on them. XD

Normally, I wouldn't bother, but someone helped me hook them all up together, so that I post once and it pops up in all three places (or it will, in theory, once I get them going). I don't like Twitter at all. I think I always have too much to say. XD

Me too. My story has a lot of one-sided relationship angst with cute Japanese scenery and food and fluffy snow sculptures. I want to squish both my main characters. XD

I couldn't remember if I left feedback, but I really like the two Loki story that you recently updated on FF!
