fenderlove: James Marsters with Romeo and Juliet quote over it. (Default)

I've decided that I'm going to start taking commissions while I'm looking for a job. :D

Most of my artwork does feature James Marsters and the cast of Buffy and Angel, but I can do pretty much any actor/actress. I'll do still life pieces, animals, places, whatever.
I complete my digital paintings anywhere from 7 hours to 30 hours of work, so here's what I'm offering:

* 8.5"x11" digital sketch without shading with under two characters: $10. Example!

* 8.5"x11" full colour digital painting with under two characters and a simple setting: $25-$30. Example!

The price includes a PDF version of your image being emailed to you, which will be suitable for printing at any Kinkos or other printing shoppe. However, these illustrations will be for your own personal use and not for any kind of commercial use.

If you want something with more characters or a more detailed setting, then we'll have to work out a price (for example, I would charge more than $25 for a piece like my "In the Artist's Garret" due to the complexity of the image which took almost 30 hours to complete).

I will only be able to accept money orders at this point.

If you're interested in a commission, just send me a message or leave a comment.

I went on yet another job interview today. I went on one like a week or so ago at the hospital, but it didn't go well. Apparently having a BFA in graphic design means I'm a drug-addicted slacker who only wants to steal medications from helpless patients in the hospital. Oh, and did I mention that I'm a liar too because I said that I could type over 150 words per minute? Yeah, apparently "no one can type that fast." >___<

Anyways, I went on another one for a job as a billing insurance clerk/front desk assistant at a chiropractor's office. I hope it went okay. My mother's best friend and my grandmother are both patients there, and they said that they would "speak" for me. I hate small towns; getting a job is even more so about who you know, and that sucks royally.

I'm just trying to get a job long enough to save up some money for a down-payment on an apartment while I'm looking for permanent employment in a graphic design job.

If I started doing commissions for artwork, would anyone be interested? I'm thinking it would be like $25-$30 for a full 8.5"x11" full colour digital painting depending upon complexity (like I might have to charge more if you wanted like three or more characters in a grouping or if there was a lot of intricacies).
