I went on yet another job interview today. I went on one like a week or so ago at the hospital, but it didn't go well. Apparently having a BFA in graphic design means I'm a drug-addicted slacker who only wants to steal medications from helpless patients in the hospital. Oh, and did I mention that I'm a liar too because I said that I could type over 150 words per minute? Yeah, apparently "no one can type that fast." >___<
Anyways, I went on another one for a job as a billing insurance clerk/front desk assistant at a chiropractor's office. I hope it went okay. My mother's best friend and my grandmother are both patients there, and they said that they would "speak" for me. I hate small towns; getting a job is even more so about who you know, and that sucks royally.
I'm just trying to get a job long enough to save up some money for a down-payment on an apartment while I'm looking for permanent employment in a graphic design job.
If I started doing commissions for artwork, would anyone be interested? I'm thinking it would be like $25-$30 for a full 8.5"x11" full colour digital painting depending upon complexity (like I might have to charge more if you wanted like three or more characters in a grouping or if there was a lot of intricacies).
