Spike news in local West Tennessee newspaper! It's nothing new, but I know some people are interested in small town BtVS mentions.

Spike to 'Smallville'
The scoobies are returning to television. Many of the actors that are famous for their fan-favorite roles on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" hve projects for the fall: Nicholas Brendan (Xander) will be on Fox's "Kitchen Confidential;" Alyson Hannigan will star in CBS's "How I Met Your Mother;" David Boreanaz (Angel) has the lead in Fox's "Bones;" Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) will have a regular role on UPN's "Veronica Mars;" and now The WB has announced that James Marsters (Spike) will join the "Smallville" cast to play Brainiac.
And WB executives are still playing cat-and-mouse about that TV movie based on the Spike character, which they say is dependent on Joss Whedon's busy schedule.
