I got my first paycheck from SBBI yesterday. It felt really awesome. Unfortunately, my mother has been straining to find things to yell and scream about all day. Her growing paranoia about how I and the rest of the world are doing things to cause her mental anguish is quite frightening. >__<;;; I need a new place to live.

I was so excited to see my booklets/brochures fresh from Kinko's this morning, but my heart nearly broke in two when I saw that they had forgotten to trim the white margins from the pages like they were bloody paid to do. I was also pissed that they had forgotten to put grommets in the banner for the display room (again, they were paid to do exactly that and didn't). I called and told them that I needed the work corrected and that I would be back up there with two more printing jobs and the other stuff and that we decided we wanted the banner laminated before it got the grommets. The employees were very apologetic and said it was a "breakdown in communication between shift-changes." They trimmed the edges on 200 booklets, printed out/laminated/foam-core mounted 10 more posters, and laminated/put grommets in the banner in under an hour. They also didn't charge us for the laminating as compensation for all the trouble. I think it all worked out, and everything turned out looking great. I can't wait to see the builders' looking at the display room tomorrow during the conference. :D It's a huge weight off my shoulders.

All the projects for the buiders' conference are completed. Now it's back to Kinko's to make them fix a mistake they made in printing our brochures (they didn't trim the edges like we paid them to do >__<) and print the storyboards! YAY!
