This is a weird story. Way back when I was like 12 and first got the internet, I signed up for Hanson's official fan website-building contest. I came up with fenderlove from my love of Fender guitars. Originally, since it was for this website-building contest, I thought I'd come up with an internet persona, and my username was sorta mocking the three-name-system for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar, so fenderlove wound up being short for Fender Love Hayashibara (I was going through my anime phase, and Megumi Hayashibara was my favourite voice actor/singer). Two years later when I was no longer terrified of internet predators stalking me, I dropped the idea of a persona and just used the fenderlove for myself. And so, 11 years later, it's still the username I use for everything- here on LJ, all the other blog and journal sites, my Gmail, all the message boards I've ever belonged to, Deviantart, Youtube, Flickr, etc. The only things I don't have fenderlove as a username on are the IDW forum (because they never activated the account I tried to set up, so I had to use fender_love which eventually they did activate) and MySpace (because I waited too long to get a Myspace and someone else snagged my name, so I became lovefender). I love my username so much that instead of getting my own name on the sides of my high school class ring, I got fenderlove put on it instead. XD Many people I know in real life would tell you that I respond to Fender just as much as I do to my real name. It just feels right. LOL!
