Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] velvetwhip for the adorable dragon doodad for my profile. His name is Garlic. XD

In other news, this exchange (from the Cinema Snob's movie VLog) today sent me rolling in the floor with laughter:

Jake: Apparently, my car is not good enough for Gene!
Spoony: It smells like Ding-Dongs and Hardee's!
Jake: McDonalds, sir! McDonalds! How dare you! Hardee's is a rich man's fast food!
I'm pissed off at Spike. Like really pissed off. *glares at said fictional vampire*

The Most Horrible Fictional Conversation Ever! Spoilers for S9. )
Oops, I apparently forgot one. XD My brain is not helping me out today. I woke up at like 8AM after only getting about 2 hours of sleep because I was having horrific zombie dreams. Didn't help that a murder of crows was cawing out in the parking lot. *grumble-grumble*

Day 7: In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Drop a link to your wish-list in this post. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

1. Probably the thing I'd like most is a manip for my Versailles Undone. Something with Spike in a corset with Charise (I imagine her looking like plus-sized pin-up model Natalie Alvarado when she has black hair) and lots of pinks and mint greens and fluffiness and delicious petits fours... I've drawn a few things for a banner over time, but like the fic, it just never seems to get itself finished. XD

2. I'm the kind of lover of cute things that gets excessive squee from fics in which Spike has been age-regressed. Oh, you know that William was an adorable kid! No bravado, no bad memories, just pure, unadulterated fluff.

3. I also quite enjoy fics in which Spike is just a little bit under-the-weather or injured and needs to be taken care of... either by Fred or by a reluctant Angel.

I thought about making a few Rage Comics for Memebase/ICanHasCheezburger featuring some vampires. I just made 1.5 today. It's silly, but it makes me happy. I've gotta remember my password to Memebase before I can post it... I'm not even sure if this is funny to anyone but me... :D

Fandoms: BtVS/Ats, Vampire Chronicles, and True Blood... Plus one that's not my fandom. I can't believe I had to save a picture of it to make this bonus meme. *goes to scrub my hard-drive*

ETA: Sorry about the pics not showing up. Photobucket is giving me fits.

It's Saturday, and I am bored! I spent the last few days worrying about Graduate school and signing my friends up for Pottermore (since I'm the only one who doesn't have a job and is home all day... and also because I'm nerdy enough to know all the answers to the clues).

It's another "2AM and Fender Has Had Too Much Caffeine!" post about the Dark Horse comics.

First off, this post is not meant to offend anyone. I just noticed a topic of conversation and felt the need to point out some stylistic choices surrounding that topic of conversation about the new Jane E. Spike web-comic. Mostly I did it to sate my own curiosity to see if my remembrance of the artwork from the series was correct and to see if I could visually prove what was rattling around in my head... In the end, I make my own fun, so please no one hit me with virtual hammers or anything.

Question: Cut for spoilers )

You see, I notice the art... a lot. Like more than I should. When I first saw that panel, I did not think anyone was crying. Why, you may ask? Because that person does not have "Jeanty Tears." What are "Jeanty Tears?" They are the big fat greasy-looking glycerine tears that Jeanty draws a good 98% of the time (the colouring is not his fault). There is a lot of crying going on in Season Eight. A lot. So once again let's have some fun comparisons!

Here there be spoilers for all of Season Eight, just in case.

Warning: Extremely Image Heavy. )
For my own purposes, completely out of my own curiosity, I wanted to take a quick look at how Spike's been portrayed in comics, using only titles in which he is the titular character because we'd have to get waaaaay too much into how other characters are portrayed otherwise. Honestly, between all of S8 and the Armstrong-Willingham arcs, there would be too much to say. On the chopping block, we have...

In this corner, we have... )

ETA: Excuse any spelling errors. I am very tired. XD

ETA: Thanks to Double Duchess for reminding me of an online comic and another vignette that I missed! :D

Via Regretsy.com: "Haunted Gay Homosexual Vampire Ring."

"This ring holds the very powerful and rare Homosexual Vampire Love spell. This Vampire ring has the ability to attract gay men to you in love and sex. Other homosexual men will know that you are not only Looking for love and sex but they will be drawn to you. They will see you as one of the sexiest men on the planet. They will not be able to resist you. Some men will not only be drawn to you but seem to be almost in a trance like state. They will be more then willing to obey your every command. This ring is so powerful it has even converted several straight men in the past.

Warning
This ring not only will attract men but Vampires as well. Most Vampires are homosexual and the spell will work the same on them. I will not be responsible for any unwanted Vampire encounters. I will not be responsible for any harm that may come to the one that wears this ring.

$39 for gay male vampire powers? Hmm...

On Facebook, my cousin's ten year old daughter asked for advice for things to do during the summer. I suggested doing some creative writing or possibly going on a nature walk and documenting/sketching the various flora and fauna she found... Cue a deluge of comments from her and her ten year old friends calling me "stupd," "no kol," and "boreing."

*sigh* I am certain that I was not obnoxious like that as a child... and I definitely had much better spelling than them.

I've been listening to too much "Auto-Tune the News" lately, and this happened...

For those of you who are unfamiliar with current American politics, the above refers to a campaign ad by Tea Party "darling" Christine O'Donnell (in which she wants you to know that she's not a witch), and after hearing Roomie's songified version of the ad, I had to open up Photoshop. James Marsters would totally beat me up for this. XD

I have been on a cooking kick for the last year or so, and I enjoy making up my own recipes for both food and cocktails. Most of my creations are fairly successful, and today I got inspired by watching hours and hours of Anthony Bourdain on the travel channel. I had some lean beef, so I decided to fry it up in a marinade of ginger, grape seed oil, and Mello Yello. Yes, Mello Yello the soda. XD I fried up the beef and served it up in baked pita bread. It was very actually very delicious- tangy and sweet, very moist. Maybe I should write "An Unemployed Fangirl's Guide to Cooking." :D
