Cross-posted at [livejournal.com profile] darker_spike.
I finally got a sewing machine, and now that university's out I'm starting to take commissions for Spike plushies. I'm taking 5 requests to start with this go around. Here's how the commission process is going to work:
1. Email me at lovefender@gmail.com with your request, i.e. Is there a specific outfit you would like him to wear (his Doomed or his Tabula Rasa outfit, for example) and maybe what facial expression he should have. I will not be able to a vampface!Spike yet.
2. I will email you back either telling you that I have accepted your request or if I will have to put you on the waiting list.
3. Once I have completed your plushie, I will email you with the address you can send a check or money order to, along with a picture of your plushie. Then, I will send you your plushie complete with a certificate of authenticity. XD Each plushie will be about $20, depending on shipping. Shipping and handling to those outside of the United States might add a few more dollars to the total cost.

Hm. I'd only charge what it costs to make and ship them, to be honest. Some people might see this as copyright infringement, and some people i won't name (but whom i'm sure you've seen do the mad fandom-wank dance) might even call you on it and kerfuffle it to bits. be reeeeeeally careful if you sell fandom-related art.

i imagine his ears and tail ought to be the same color as his skin, don't you? is that possible?

I fear that people don't realize how much fabric costs, not to mention shipping. I'm using some fairly nice flannel for the doll. In total in supplies, the basic doll uses about $8-$10 worth of fabric and little accessories, plus thread and stuffing. Shipping and handling is about $5-$10. The best figure I could give people would be $10. My goal was to lose no money on making these dolls while creating a quality product. I don't want people to think that I'm trying to cheat them.

I could make his ears and tail the same color as his skin, but they won't be that fuzzy. They'd be made out of flannel, if that's okay. ^_^

I was planning on it. He needs his little jingle bell. No extra charge. XD It makes him happy.
I am very close to ripping open an old "realistic" stuffed cat for whatever is inside of it making its purring noise, but I fear I have no idea where it is.

omg squee. i'd pay an extra ten bucks if it purred. that's just the cutest. thing. EVER. OMG!

Hee. I'll try to find it. Maybe I can find one at the craft store. ^_^
