Dear God, I finally made my very own Spike plushie... and it's creepy as hell. I've never sewn anything before EVER, I swear, so it's not my fault that his head is misshapen! I still like him though. I need a digital camera so I could take better pictures. The stitching on his coat turned out really good except on one of the sleeves (where in which point I turn into Satino Rice from Project Runway). I also learned that you need thread the same colour as your fabric. ^_^;;; I guess it's just a learning process. I'm going to make a bigger plushie I think because this one is only about 7 inches tall. He's very soft and cuddly though. I scanned a pic of him!

The scan is really bad. I think he looks much better in person. His hair, head, and arms are made out of soft flannel (the kind used for baby bedding). His body is made from broadcloth, and his coat is made from a coarse bandana-type of material. I plan on making a bunch of these until I get it right. Then I want to make a whole set inlcuding a Punk!Spike plushie, a William plushie, maybe even a Damaged!Spike with little bloody stumpy arms. XD
I do really love this little plush. I think he's kinda cute in a weird way.

Hee. I think it would have been better if I had put the stitches closer together. I can't wait to make the next one. XD

i'm not trying to be mean or anything but he kinda looks like the stay puft marshmellow man. you know from ghostbusters. only in a kick ass jacket.

It's okay. I've never sewn before so I figured it wasn't going to turn out exactly the way it was supposed to. Lauren told me that my stitches were too far apart and that I need to double stitch everything.

i'm sure with practice you shall get better. i wish i could remember my sowing lessons from when i was a kid.

Aww thank you! And thanks for the link! Those patterns are much better than the one I was using. ^_^ I'm going to have to use the tutorial to make my next Spike plushie.

Oh you're very welcome sweetie! :3
I found it on deviant art and was like "!!! I must make my own!" So I share the wealth. *huggle*

Haha! Indeed, the tutorial I used forgot to explain how to get the head attached to the body... so I had to guess. I guessed wrong, I think. ^_^;;;
