I may be going to Egypt during the summer of 2013 to go on an archaeological dig, all expenses paid. If I get to go, I'll be cataloguing artifacts and drawing them for the dig's records. I want to find a baby hippo amulet!

Also, I found a word counter. (Thanks [livejournal.com profile] shakensilence!)

0 / 50000 words. 0% done!

It's a sad word counter... because it has no words to count yet. *has a sad*

Yay!!! I am so excited for you!

Hope your word counter cheers up soon.

*many many hugs* I have some stuff written, but I need to actually type it up to see how many words I have. :D

Still, I think anything you feed your word counter will help.

Abydos is amazing. The colours on the walls of the temples are stunning and the relief works are beautiful.

Envies:)

I'm excited. The dig is still up in the air (the prof who is running it has to get the funding first), but I'm hopefully optimistic.

And lol autocorrect. That was meant to be cool not colleen!

Oh! Hehe! That makes much more sense now! XD

I'm quite excited, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. If the grant doesn't get given, then I can't go with the group, but the important thing is that there's a chance I could spend 5 weeks sweating my arse off in a hovel, meticulously drawing tiny pottery shards for posterity, for fun and possibly getting credit for my future PhD! :D
