Am I Old? XD

On Facebook, my cousin's ten year old daughter asked for advice for things to do during the summer. I suggested doing some creative writing or possibly going on a nature walk and documenting/sketching the various flora and fauna she found... Cue a deluge of comments from her and her ten year old friends calling me "stupd," "no kol," and "boreing."

*sigh* I am certain that I was not obnoxious like that as a child... and I definitely had much better spelling than them.

Duh! What did you expected? You suggested school assignments.

At 10 I was thinking in the same terms, I didn't had the guts to tell it in the face to grown ups.

I guess I've been doing school assignments for fun all my life, which is probably true... One of the earliest games I learned to play was matching Renaissance paintings to their correct artists... Again, this is why I am a nerd. XD

I don't actually think that those kids want to do anything at all. They just want to sit and complain that they have nothing to do, but if you offer anything at all in the way of suggestions, they scoff and continuel to sit there, waiting for magical unicorns to show up or something. I just have no idea of what they would actually do if suggested.
