I was overjoyed at reading on IMDB that Brooke Shields had quite a few things to say to the infamous Mr. Cruise upon his remarks that she was misguided in seeking treatment (the anti-depressant Paxil) for her post-pardum depression, claiming the woman should have just taken vitamins which would cure her depression. Tom also claimed that Brooke's use of Paxil led to the downfall of her career (oh, I'm sorry, Tom. Just because you and Nicole Kidman adopted so she could keep working without the hastle of being preggers, doesn't mean we all have to. 'cause God forbid that someone want to go through childbirth and choose family over career). Brooke Shield, who just released a book about her depression and recovery, thanked Tom and replied, "In many ways, I think he's just validated my book. Has he had a baby? Anything that highlights the help available to the thousands of women who suffer is fine by me. Tom should stick to saving the world from aliens and let women decide what treatment is best."
You go, Brooke.
You go, Brooke.
