Sweet Jesus on a camel!

I can't even fucking go on CDS anymore (and I really, really want to!); it's gotten just downright "blarg" (it's the only word I can think of to describe random picking of fights for no reason as of late). *bangs head into the desk* I mean, I liked (and still do) this one poster; he/she was always cool to me then BAM! I make a snide remark about Courtney Love and joke about rock star death conspiracies, and suddenly I'm being judgemental of a drug addict who's violated her probation on three seperate occasions yet still has said probation and still has custody of her child. A normal non-celebrity person wouldn't have that many chances, nor do I think that Courtney Love (nor any person) should have that many chances. Obviously, the usual methods of treatment of her "disease" (I hear Mitch Hedburg in my head right now. Dammit, Mitch, you have lupus!) aren't working, so she needs to be in jail or a facility in which she could be constantly monitored so she can get better, for Christ's sake! *dies*

For the past two days on CDS there has been this thing going on about some remarks JM has been saying for YEARS. Basically, all the nude scenes he did in S6 of BtVS made him uncomfortable (so uncomfortable in fact that he tried to gain weight during S7 so they wouldn't make him do anymore... that plan worked REALLY well), and SMG and the Buffy crew didn't help matters. They made comments about his vulernability etc etc. Okay, that seems mean and stuff, but you can understand that he'd still be upset by the whole thing. Now, JM has always said that he and SMG were friendly onset ("like a sister"), and SMG has often spoken of JM quite highly. I don't really get why everyone is fucking fighting over this. I think some people don't want to believe that SMG is capable of making fun of someone or hurting someone's feelings, and yet most are trying to see the situation realistically and from various points of view. But for some reason, the people who are, like, in denial won't stop twisting people's words around and won't fucking look at what JM has said. I believe what JM says, at least what he says about his own feelings. If he says he was uncomfortable and was made to feel that way by SMG (either accidentally or on purpose), I believe him. I have no evidence to the contrary. On the other hand, I only half-believe SMG when she says she felt "degraded" during the sex scenes. Why don't I believe her as much? Well, according to all reports, she was fully clothed at all times while JM was completely naked (except for the sock). Also, I look at the movies that she's done. She's done worse things in Harvard Man, Cruel Intentions, etc than she ever did on Buffy, but she's never said anything to my knowledge about feeling degraded by the movies she was in. She harped on the "balcony ass sex" from Dead Things FOREVER, but a short time later, she pantomimed sodomy with Jack Black on the MTV Movie Awards in, what I would call, a much more degrading fashion. In all honesty, more people probably watched the MTV Movie Awards than Dead Things, and yet she had no problem with it. Also, I've seen the Dead Things dailies and the episode many times. I can't see what was degrading about it. I mean, sure, it could have made her uncomfortable, but her skirt's not up, nothing is revealed. It wasn't until later when she started complaining about it that I even realised they were supposed to be having sex in that scene. I thought he was grinding up on her at first. In other sex scene dailies, the two are laughing and giggling while miming much more intimate and sometimes violent sex acts. So, I can't really see what was degrading about the whole thing, but I can admit that maybe she was uncomfortable because she says she was. How close were JM and SMG during the filming of BtVS? I have no clue; those comments about their relationship from both actors I'm less inclined to believe to a certain extent. Do I really care? No... *looks at the post above* Apparently, enough to form an opinion. *gags* So anyway, I toast to SMG, the most "professional" woman in show biz, and JM, the most sensitive man-ho' evah. <-- I'm just kidding by the by.
I love my CDS with a fiery passion, but I hope all this hoopla over nothing stops when the new season of Smallville starts. You know it's the off-season when people take the most miniscule thing and blow it out of proportion.
