The quote above was overheard at my voting precinct today. It was the last day for early voting, so I thought I'd miss the crowds that will be there on the 2nd. An elderly fellow was espousing to all that would listen in the front office about how college/university professors are "agents of Satan" who infect "good Christian children" with "the gay" and how education both public and private should be abolished in this country... which I think speaks volumes about the state of affairs in my town by the number of people milling about who were agreeing with him (though I hope that they were secretly only trying to placate him to get him to leave and stop causing such a commotion). His statement actually made me giggle, and I want a "'Liberal' Arts, Totally On-Purpose" t-shirt. XD

It feels good to vote. I was thwarted from voting in 2004 (my district refused to send an absentee ballot to me in New York despite repeated begging from the NY precinct on my behalf) and in 2008 (this voting precinct told me that I wasn't allowed to vote because my voter registration had expired and it was too late to re-register; I learned this year that it hadn't actually expired and have received no explanation as to why I was denied in '08).

I was actually so excited about voting today that I had a political dream last night... It involved James Marsters and Sarah Palin... Oh, God...

In my dream, I was running for President, and James was my running mate (because he's always a bridesmaid never a bride). We were the very first people running on the "Liberal Nerd" ticket. Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell were also running that same election year. Let's just say it ended with an epic lightsabre duel... and James was pretty much the only one left standing. Long live President Marsters. XD

This gives me a good excuse to to pull out my Marsters/Himber 2012 t-shirt from last year's Dragon*Con.

ETA: Fixed the size of the pic to not be so ginormous. XD

LOL! That dream sounds like fun! And did you know Sarah has a reality show coming up on TLC? I wonder if they are paying her for it?

Ah! People will never cease to maze with their ignorance.

I saw the clip from where a group of nice citizens in Alaska made a "Worst governor ever" sign for Mrs. Palin as she came into town, which of course made it impossible to film in that particular location with this enormous sign in the background. Palin kept trying to say how she was trying to "save America" and the lady who made the sign kept asking her "How?" And Miss BendyStraws and her daughter kept going "OH MY GAWD!" in a horrible valley girl voice. It was positively the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. TLC has really turned me off their channel though. XD

Just to note, can you see that pic above? I kept getting a weird message about it not showing up, so I want to check to see if it is showing up (and small). XD

I'm beginning to think that all elections should now be settled with sci-fi weaponry. Who needs the Electoral College when you have the Necronomicon? :D

Lol at your dream... I have wacky dreams all the time that sorta deal with what I'm doing... in a weird round about sort of way. I had a really strange dream where my group therapy was crossed with the fanfiction I'm writing right now. It wasn't pretty. That ff is dark... I mean DARK and group is fluffy so my dream came out sort of like a surreal painting of gore but in happy textures... if that makes any sense whatsoever.

And I noticed in the above comment that you wanted to know if the pic came out and yes... it is visible and not big. It is a good size for a post.

Dreams are freaky freaky things. Our brains process things so strangely when we sleep sometimes.

I am in Total LUST Mode after your t-shirt. What a great fan artifact.
Go over to my LJ tomorrow, I will post my faux James Marsters on Rachel Maddow tomorrow.

My t-shirt makes me very happy. It's also super-comfy! :D

Yay for faux James Marsters on Rachel Maddow! Can't wait to see it! :D

Voting is a good thing, nothing like getting in that little closet and checking things off.

I got to use an electronic machiney thing. It had a spinning wheel that I choose with like a rotary phone dial. It was fun. :D

hee!
PRESIDENT MARSTERS FOREVAR.
:D

supremely jealous of the shirt, btw.

Aww, thank you!

I gave James and Mr. Himber t-shirts like that one too, and they were quite excited. James was just happy that he was the main ticket candidate and that Steve was the running mate. XD

you're welcome!

haha, that's awesome!
I'd totally buy one. but only if I could yell SHAZAMBOOBIES while in it. ;)

Funny boobies-related story about these shirts. My sorority sister and I both wore these shirts when we gave Steve and James theirs. Steve decided that he wanted to take our picture for fun (and for the irony-factor for James letting someone else get their photo snapped), and he cheerily said, "Okay, ladies! Busts out!" as he took the pic. XD

Hahaha. Yes to everything in this post.

I wish my dreams were as interesting as yours.

:D I usually don't have very coherent dreams, so that one surprised me. XD
