* The design on Spike's Absinthe t-shirt was drawn from a poster that is by Madame Talbot's Victorian Lowbrow. At the time this comic was made I thought that this imagery was an actual Victorian advertisement, and I want to give credit where credit is due for her beautiful artwork. This comic was made for fun only and is not being sold. It's totally not for any kind of profit. :D

Very nice! Good graphics, interesting set up and Spike's going to be a Daddy. More please.

Hehe, I'm not going to give away any spoilers as to whether or not Spike takes the fatherly role. All shall be revealed in time. ^_~

Wow. Just wow. Incredible art and intriguing story. My inner fanfic ho' craves to find out what happened to Spike.

LOL. I totally understand how Lynch and Urru feel. It's like, I really want the rest of the story to be out there, but I still have to draw it. It gets kinda frustrating like with the second page which took FOREVER to complete. I'll be posting page four and five hopefully by next Sunday.

Very nice beginning! How long does it take you to draw all that? Do you do it with one of those graphic tablets?

Thank you! Each page takes a different amount of time. The first page of the comic took about eight hours total, the cover was about sixteen, and I'm not sure about two and three 'cause I was working on both at the same time. Yes, I use a Wacom Bamboo tablet and stylus; I don't think I could do this with mouse alone. My hand would be dead! LOL.

Love, love, love what you did here. Your artwork is so amazing! You caught him perfectly. I was staring at the pictures for minutes.

Can't wait to see, where you'll take the story. Like the idea that Spike would hook up with a pregnant girl that he finds cool.

Thank you so much! I love drawing pregnant women; it's just such a pleasant curve. I've always wanted to write fanfic about Spike having a girlfriend who was pregnant with a baby that wasn't his, but I got some poor reception early on so I stopped. But I've gotten great response to Ursula being preggers so far, which makes me quite happy!

Your artwork is beautiful, and I like your Spike-voice! Especially love the frame of him smoking...and the phrase "Spikelet or Spikette."

This is just GORGEOUS! Really beautiful. Not just Spike but all the rest of the art as well. Bravo!

Wow! Stunning, stunning. Your art blows me away.
You draw Spike so beautifully of course, but your backgrounds and details are gorgeous and I love the layouts.
I particularly love pages 1& 2. I love Spike in the alley, love the graffiti and whole look of it. Love that Spike has a cardboard box with his stuff in it. It just kinda seems so right.
On page 2 I adore your smoke tendrils, they are beautiful and makes me think of that firey cover for Spike After the Fall. The last panel is gorgeous. I love your colour palette and all the weird and quirky things - the tree looks like candy floss, the merman is yummy, the floating turtle and fish are so cute - is that a baby Betta George? Is Spike hallucinating from the absinthe? ( though, to be a kill joy, science today says it's not a hallucinogenic, but it's more interesting to assume it is...)

And although I love your colours, I'm liking the black and white very much. Some of my fave comics are in black and white.

I love Ursula. I wonder what she's made for Spike. I love that she's pregnant too. This months Diva mag ( leading UK lesbian magazine) has a gorgeous front cover of a nearly naked pregnant woman with her partner and displaying her bump in all it's glory. I'm not at all maternal, but she is so beautiful and sexy.

By the way, thanks for that link to Madame Talbot's Victorian Lowbrow. What an amazing site to explore. I've fallen in love with the Mourning Skull dolls and Raven Death Mourning dolls! :o)

Thank you so much!

is that a baby Betta George?
Yes, he is! He's Betta Kin, who makes a reappearance in a later artwork. (http://fenderlove.livejournal.com/283460.html)

Is Spike hallucinating from the absinthe?
It's a mural sort of thing that Ursula is painting on the wall though it does look like a drug-filled wonderland. XD One of the constellations that she's painted is the big bear- Ursa Major. :D

I love drawing pregnant women, and I figured it would be fun for Spike to have a pregnant girlfriend. James really liked the idea. :D

Here's bigger versions of pages two and three:

Thanks everso for the links to the larger pages.

I do know your scrummy Kimono art with Betta George and Betta Kin - though I'd forgotten her name of course and that they're the same colour in both artworks. But it's what made me think it about the little fish here.

It makes total sense now that it is a mural that Ursula is painting, I even noticed the sketches on the wall when Spike is moving the couch but I didn't twig.

Aw, I love that James likes the idea of preggers Ursula!

p.s.
The cover and page 1, when you click for full size they have a little plus sign that can enlarge it even more. But unfortuneatly page 2 & 3 don't so I have to peer closely at the screen to read it. Do you have them in a higher resolution like the 1st two? Though this was a while ago and I'm sure you must be too busy to deal with this just for little old me. ;o)
