Well, I took it, and it's done now. My unofficial score (that only includes the verbal and the quantitative and not the analytical writing analysis or the quantitative section that involves the little computer calculator) is 1090, which was much less than my practice test scores, so... I'm a little sad, but at least I broke 1000. I know that standardized tests aren't really accurate measures of intelligence or potential, but I feel sort of defeated. I'll probably have to retake it if I make it to doctoral candidacy because I've heard you have to have a 1200 in some schools for that, but that's years away. Next step is to actually find a Masters program that will have me... Heh, I almost wrote "Marsters program." Now that's something I wouldn't mind studying for!

Don't you dare feel defeated. They are not a measure of your I.Q. They measure just of taking the test, Some are good at it, and some brilliant folks suffer from test fear. Screw it. Just so you can do your grad work. It's a friggin' test, not real life! You go girl!!!
