*fumes* I have no opinion on this election. It's silly. I refuse to choose between the lesser of two evils. I don't like Bush, and I don't like Kerry. Sure, I could just vote for Nader; but then I'd have Republicans saying I gave a vote to Kerry, and I'd have Democrats saying I gave a vote to Bush. Technically I wouldn't be giving a vote at all because we have the lovely electoral college, blessed thing that it is. *gags on my own vomit*
To be honest, I feel it's better to stick with the evil you know rather than the evil with the pony sidekick, but that in no way means I am a Bush-supporter. I don't trust politicians. Marvel at that statement for a moment. I'm an independent semi-liberal who is pro-choice and supports gay marriage. I really feel disallusioned by all the people in college around me who are, like, nazi-liberals who all come from very well-off families and are only liberal democrats to piss off their parents. My mother told me, "I was a liberal in college... and then I had to get a job... and pay bills... and I had you." She also informed me that all the overly liberal people I meet in college will all turn out like their parents: conservative republicans. Not that that's true of everyone. I'm sure some of you will know the people I speak of; they are the kind of people who preach the First Amendment and then tell you your own beliefs are stupid and ram their views down your throat. Good Lord. It sure is easy to espouse your beliefs when you don't have any monetary concerns or mouths to feed. Machiavelli would have a field day with this election, I tell you!
Sorry for the rant, but I've been yelled at too many times to day by Democrats and Republicans... and Nader-supporters. If you actually know what you are talking about politically, please let's have an intelligent conversation, but if you're going to yell at me because you don't want to listen to my views then please let me be. My world will not be rocked by the election. I wouldn't have known it was election day if I hadn't seen a sign this morning. (I stopped paying attention to the election date when I found out I wasn't going to be allowed to vote because my state is stupid.)
Also, my home state refused to send me an absentee ballot so I couldn't vote even if I wanted to, so there. :P
Sorry for all the grammatical errors. I'm very sleepy.
