The rain has stopped, the backyard has drained of excess water and away from the crawl-space, and we have water. Unfortunately, the water has no pressure, it reeks of chemicals to kill all the bacteria from the ground water that contaminated it, and we're still under a "boil water before any use" advisory. Still, I had rather have annoying, stinky water than no water at all. The ants, however, that have come to our house to escape the flood are my new enemy.
I thought about taking a "fandom break" for a few days, but then I realized that S8 #35 is coming out tomorrow, and there is no way I am missing the wankery about that. Plus, I've got a new fanart piece in the works, and several fanfics and mini-comics, so no fandom break for me.

Read lots of fanfiction with non-canon pairings, realise that it is much better than the canon pairings. Then realise that by shipping non-canon your pairing will never be stomped on by comic book writers or Joss only ignored, read more non-canon fanfiction and repeat until you feel better and only need to pity those whose life requires validation from a fictional character who is controlled by other people.

I think there's a fandom disease, and I have it. I need a cure so that I can write my fanfic without thinking about comics and wankery and craziness and hilarity.

Given the rest of it, being "the drunks" could only help...
