God, I honestly hate St. Augustine's Confessions. I mean, being repentent is one thing, but this guy is blaming himself for things out of his control. Babies cry! I mean, how else can they express what they want? Just because babies cry doesn't make them sinful! Sure, babies are evil creatures, but they're not sinning by crying. Oh, and the pear incident: Get over it, Augustine. You were a rotten snotty little kid. Deal with it. Fucking give me a break already! This guy needs therapy... You know, if he wasn't like old and dead... I can't formulate my hatred of this book intelligably right now because I have Hedwig's "Wig in a Box" stuck in my head. Men in drag can be sooo frickin' pretty. Thanks to Jonathan Rhys Meyers, John Cameron Mitchell, James Marsters, David Bowie, and all those other priddy boys that 'do the drag' just the way I like it. *smootch*
In other news, I need to be studying for my katakana quiz tomorrow. Honestly, you can't learn over fifty symbols in one night. It's really hard. My brain hurts because not only do you have to remember what the symbol means, you have to remember how to write it correctly and remember the hiragana symbol that means the exact same thing. Grr. Michiko-sensee is very silly sometimes. I think she'll let me take the test on Monday if I ask nicely. Somehow I think no one is going to be prepared enough for this test. She may just have to postpone it anyway. I pray.
I finished my paper for my Seminar. Yay! Hopefully, I'll get an A or something around there. All I ask for is a B (although I've never taken getting B's lightly and often they make me cry). ;.; Wish me luck.
For those just tuning in from the commercial break: My spider bite is now flat (i.e. the swelling has gone down). It's still slightly pink, but I think I'm in the clear hopefully.
I'm still waiting for my care package of Crossing Jordan tapes to be delivered. Grr to you, postal system! I need my Dr. Nigel Townsend-goodness! It should be here tomorrow; but if it's not, I'm going to cry. *runs off to study Japanese and read the Elegant and Gothic Lolita Bible*
