Title: 飽食 (Houshoku/Gluttony).
Artist:
fenderlove
Medium: Sketch on Bristol paper/Digital painting done in Photoshop CS3.
Warning: Semi-worksafe- bare chestage.
Summary: One can be a glutton for many things- fine furnishings, delicious desserts, and any other assortment of sensual things. In this piece, Spike is reveling in the joys of being an in-demand maiko. Done for the Seven Deadly Sins challenge at
darker_spike and inspired by the "purple" prompt at
nekid_spike.
Preview:

In this piece, Spike is enjoying some lovely mochi odaingo-tachi (sweet paste balls) and mochi usagi-tachi (sweet paste rabbits) along with a nice pot of o-cha (green tea). On the tea tray is a Unazukin, a Japanese toy. In Spike's hair are several Kanzashi, traditional Japanese hair ornaments. The Kanzashi that are depicted are morning glories (symbolic for August, James's birth month) and maple leaves (for November, my birth month).

I wish I could go to Japan. All these years of studying the language and culture, and I feel like it's going to waste. One day, when these damned student loans are paid off, I will go! Until then, I'm just gonna keep drawing vampires in kimonos. XD
