I just spent two hours going through three years worth of posts and tagging them. I stopped in 2005 and didn't go back all the way to '04 'cause I don't think there's anything important back there. Well, I certainly have a lot of tags now.
ok, so i've been wondering this forever: what is the purpose of tagging? there must be one; why else would everyone tag all of their posts everywhere??
I think it's a little easier than adding a post to your memories. For example, if I want to find an older post with some of my icons, I can go to the left hand side of my LJ, click "Icons" and all my posts with my icons will come up.
