New Computer!

I bought an iMac today! It was kind of a spur of the moment decision, but I got the same price at Best Buy that I would have gotten with my student discount at the Apple store in Phillips AND I didn't have to wait on a shipping order. I finally feel like a real designer! The poor laptop is sitting in the floor. I will never part with my old friend (five years old and counting, the trouper that it is!), but there's just no room on my desk for the lappy and the compy (the compy of the 20 inch monitor). I'm so excited, and I can't wait to upload the Adobe CS3 on here so I never have to go to the computer lab again unless I have to print! I keep expecting my computer to not be here when I turn around. It's odd. XD

Not quite yet, but as soon as Spring Breaks over and Ian helps me get CS3, then YES! Yay! Celebrate good time, come on! The Mac even has a nifty little remote so I can watch DVDs and pause/fastforward/play etc without having to get up out of bed! The screen's wider than my TV's screen. Huzzah!

It was about $1316 (with the tax), I think. The sticker price was $1199. If I had gotten it online, I would have saved $50 but I would have had to wait and deal with shipping and the school's Apple store, which was giving me the run-around. I could have used my student discount at Best Buy, but I could only use it on accessories (they didn't have anything I wanted). It comes with a one year warranty and they had supplies in store, which was great. I was so surprised to take it home right then.
Mom bought me a Harajuku Lovers bag, a Juicy Couture bag, a pair of Converse, and some Hello Kitty pjs today. She's supposed to get me a new phone too. *is excited* I'm trying to save up to get a pair of hot pink Doc Martens from Macys. *squees*

Ugh! I'm doubly jealous now. I want nice bags too. Can I has yore mom? Also, Hot pink doc martens at Macy's? Drool! WANT! I got a pair of converse the other day. I'm thinking of returning them because they arent quite indy rock enough :( I'm trying to be scene these days. I figure that's the only way I'm going to get respect as a designer in Memphis lol
