Nothing better in this life than sitting in front of X-Play on G4 all day with a stack of Hot Pockets and a 12 pack of Dr. Thunder... unless I could sit in front of naked JM all day with a stack of Hot Pockets and a 12 pack of Coke... Mmm...

I finished reading White Night last night. It was amazing.

Okay, this is totally a typo, but normally I don't notice these things so I thought I would post it.
On page 137, after Harry gets off the phone with Ramirez, Molly says "...And you wanted to know what Warden Rodriguez knew about her..." Huh? Rodriguez? Is Susan suddenly a Warden now? At first I thought, "Oh, it's okay, Molly isn't really familiar with Carlos. I can fanwank it that she would give the wrong name." Only later, it seems she knows who he is and remembers his correct name. I ring this one up as a typo, my friends. A big honking typo. ... And I still think Ramirez is part of the Black Council... It's a hunch. He reminds me of a guy I once knew... And Molly needs to go away. It's like adding kids and dogs to a dying sitcom. We got the dog (and I love Mouse and I want him and Toto to have large Yorkie babies), but I could really do without the kid. I'm glad she's showing a little more maturity, but she bothers me greatly.

Other than that, I truly loved the book. It was interesting and action packed. It brought about some storylines that I thought were dead such as the Beckitts. Also, "Persephone," the little girl Marcone visits in the hospital, being brought back up and revealed as to her true identity was a heart-wrenching and somewhat heart-warming moment. Here be monsters, but not all the monsters are without mercy.

It may be me but over the past couple of books the whole Lasciel storyline was bugging me. I have no idea what it was that bothered me about it, but it did. This book made me feel a little bit better about it. I am glad to see the personal strength and kindness Harry showed to Lash the Shade. I don't want Harry to have to give up his power to be free of her for good.

Harry and Murphy need to get together. Please, Jim? Pretty please? Murphy's my top pick; next is Elaine, and lastly Susan... Actually I would choose Thomas and then Susan, but that would make me a sick person. Jim gave me too much to play with, what with all the incesty slash and the OMGTHEIRLOVEISSOBROTHERLY!!1! Ah-ree and Toe-moss forever. *smooch* I can't wait to hear James read those scenes. "Ask him why he hasn't come to visit the baby!" Teehee.

I was excited to read on Jim Butcher's site that he wants to do a total of 20 Dresden Files books, which makes me extremely happy. Apparently, he has sold the thus-far untitled books #12 and #13. The next book, number 10, is called Small Favor and is due out in Spring 2008 (and since we know we're getting 12 and 13, we can all assume 11 will follow along sometime in the Winter of 2008 or early 2009). Small Favor, hmm? Sounds like we might be hearing back from a certain Faerie Queen.

I really liked the book as well (just finished Sunday night) but I thought the ghoul fights needed seriously pruning, especially the final fight which ran on far too long. And yeah, much Mouse love here as well.

Yeah, that last fight got very hairy. I was getting sorta confused here and there and had to go back and re-read stuff, but overall I really enjoyed it.
*hearts Mouse* My uncle had a dog like him once; he was a ginormous mutt but was quite loving.
