Good God. I just remembered why I hate Signs and Unbreakable. M. Night Shymalan and Joss Whedon have something in common: they're both asshats.
<sarcasm> They're so brilliant! We should worship them and their genius!</sarcasm>
Gag me with a frickin' spoon. I just lost two hours of my life watching that stupid not-a-documentary! I want those hours back, M. Night Shymalan!!!
The crows? Oh, come on! I totally got those references. Night almost died; the crows supposedly carry the souls to the other side (like The Crow). Plus, Night is a freak about Hitchcock's The Birds.
I got so tired of the shakey cam' and the conspiracies and the bad acting. It was like watching the frickin' Blair Witch Project all over again. The only redeeming quality of this piece was the surprise cameo of one Mr. Johnny Depp, who will appear in anything as long as it intrigues him and doesn't require him to take off his shirt.

If watching Shymalan's films has taught me anything, you know that water and the colour red will play a role as symbolism. We've already seen from the previews that red is the "bad colour" that attracts "them".
My theory on what "they" are is that they are human, just human. It's so painfully obvious, like in The Sixth Sense (plus, if you slow down the previews you can tell that "they" are humanoid at least). *bangs head against the keyboard* I was bored to death watching Signs and Unbreakable, and I don't think I'll be spending my $7.50 to see The Village in the theatres. I'll wait for one of my friends to get it.
