Watching I Love the 90s on VH1 all last week has made me the uber nostalgic. I really don't remember much before 1995 due to... something. I blame television for my lack of long-term memory for everything except useless Buffy/Hanson/Anime trivia. I can't remember any of the names of my grade school teachers, but by God I can tell you what colour tooth brush Isaac Hanson has and all seasonal arcs of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Shoujo Kakumei Utena.
Anyways, I suddenly really want a Furby, possessed little furballs that they are. I remember when they came out and how much they cost. Mel's little sister had one and one night we beat the crap out of it with a plastic baseball bat then hit it into the pool. It was pretty funny, but now, I kinda want one for myself. I want to be one of the pink and white ones, and I'll name it Pompidou. I think I would leave it alone in a room with my Buffy DVDs playing on rotation to see if I could teach it to say "All Geminis to the raspberry hats" or "monkey pants." A friend of mine has one that says "Hooters!" which is amusing to a point. It's not fair! I want to corrupt a Furby. That must make me some sort of deviant, which is just groovy.
I want some I Love the 90s icons of Michael Ian Black and Mo Rocca! They must be the coolest guys alive.
