Notes: I requested a ficlet in lilithbint's Second Time Around 'Verse (where Spike and Angel have Shanshu'd as little human children, and Fred and the others have adopted them). She delivered with a look into little Spike and Angel's first day of preschool, so I decided to make a little artwork for the occasion. :D As you can see, our wee ex-manpires are not exactly thrilled. XD

Title: Away in a Manger.

Summary: For noel_of_spike 2010. Thanks to lilithbint for the inspiration. I wanted to try out a new style I am working with, and this is my new Christmas artwork for the year. Fred and Spike decide to put on a Nativity pageant complete with cardboard cattle, stuffed animals, Puppet!Angel, Puppet!Gunn, and Puppet!Wesley. Starring Fred as Mary, Spike as Joseph, and Connor as the "baby" Jesus. No blasphemy intended. XD

I have no scanner and my digital camera has gone to heaven, so I have to use my webcam to take pictures of my artwork if I want to use them on the computer (hence why actual scans of my sketches will be rarely ever seen ever), so I apologize for the ooky quality of these (I think they look better in real life... I really need to get a scanner... or a better camera). Anyways, I thought I'd share my new cartoon versions of Spike and Fred. They aren't final designs, but I'm working on trying to find designs that I'll be able to consistently draw the same way in the future. :D

Title: Memento Mori.

Summary: This was done for whichclothes's beautiful fanfiction Memento Mori: Hominem Te Memento. It really inspired me after a long dry-spell. I used a new technique in trying to recreate a watercolour feel in Photoshop. I wish I could draw Xander better. XD

Pet Society is having a Halloween art contest to design 3 new items for their game, either a producing tree, a flower, or a vegetable for the garden area. I decided to design a tree, so here's my artwork:

My Catrina Sugar Tree.

I went with a Day of the Dead theme, so I've got three friendly little chubby Catrinas sitting in a tree that produces adorable sugar skull fruits for the pets of Pet Society to eat. :D

I've really only recently in the past two or three years really gotten comfortable with my artwork (that place where you're still hyper-critical of yourself but know well-enough that sometimes it's time to sign your name and be done with it). I thought I'd share some of my earliest fanart from high school along with a lot of unfinished newer artworks and sketches that I haven't posted before.

Believe it or not, I got an excellent idea for a new BtVS/Ats art piece! I've found that I really love doing large multi-character portraits with symbolism and metaphors, and I think I've finalized how I want the new one to look- been sketching up a storm, though I'm not really sure about one of my character choices, but I think it'll work. I hope to get it finished over the next few days.

I'll give you a clue, Scooby Doo, about the subject matter of my next digital painting:
"When the other shoe drops, think to a horse of a different colour." :D
