He is defensive because he feels threatened by women who know what they want from their own art. Jerk guy teachers. Grr. My chair worked and did what it was supposed to (which some of the other chairs didn't even last fifteen minutes with someone sitting on them), but he didn't like it so that means that I'll probably fail the project even though I got it right.
