He doesn't care about ships and that's fair enough, but the way they treat the fanbase is obscene. I couldn't agree more. I think Rahirah used the analogy of "Whedon said that there would be cake!" "No, he said there might be cake." "Wait, why is all this broccoli here?" *sigh*
I have a lot of unanswered questions about Season Eight, and I was told many a time that those weren't important questions or that they were boring. With Giles dead, all the questions about him searching for a weapon to kill Buffy instead of talking to her, why he chose to send Faith on a mission under the guise of being after Buffy again without talking to Buffy first, or how he knew that the spell in Chosen was potentially apocalypse-bringing but didn't think to mention it or the Twilight prophecy he supposed knew all about are going to go unanswered, and I suppose we are supposed to forget about them...
I need to dig out my giant list of all my S8 questions... but maybe I shouldn't because it would make me sad because it's definitely too late. I mean, it would be better if they just redid the whole thing with a brand new story with a totally different approach, just wipe the slate clean, but the taste would still be bitter after three years of putting people through this.
