I am fighting off sickness. I think I might have undercooked a casserole, and now I'm not feeling well. Blurgh... I've got to get up though and do the house-cleaning for today.

On a happier note, the mother robin did come back to her nest! She and, I assume, the papa robin have been taking turns sitting on the remaining egg. They peep and chirp all day long. The only problem is that I'm afraid to go into our front room because the birds see movement and fly off. Also, the summer storms are still going strong, and I worry about the wreath being tossed around and the egg falling out like the first one. I wonder how long it takes for robin eggs to hatch and grow into wee flying birds...

God birds can be so thick sometimes. Fancy putting their nest there. :D

They sure seem very silly! I can't believe the silly bird put its nest in a neon yellow mesh wreath covered in bright magenta flowers and pink ribbons. It in no way looks natural or like a good place for a birdhouse! XD

I hate to be a downer, but if the parents were off the egg long enough, there's a chance that it got too cold and won't hatch at all. (In that case, the parents usually abandon the nest and make another try elsewhere.)

I thought that that might be a possibility, but I'm just glad that the bird can make that decision instead of being confused as to where their nest went... Of course, that's putting human sensibilities on a bird, but it makes me feel better. I just hope once the birds move on, that they don't choose to stay in the wreath. XD
