Whee! I've got new icons because Buffyx is amazing! She always manages to do exactly what I pictured in my head. She's probably tired of me pestering her for icons... 'cause I request a new one like every week... I don't have enough message boards to use them all on! I'm having to rotate the images.
I've changed my default to the wonderful "Beautiful Judas" Spike icon. It's inspired by the biblical references in the Angel episode "Not Fade Away".
Angel: One of you will betray me. *Spike's hand shoots up* Wesley.
Spike: *disappointed* Oh... Can I still deny you three times?
It's also kinda inspired by the musical Jesus Christ Super Star. When I went to New York to see it several years ago, a young man named Tony Vincent played a very punk rock, very platinum blonde Judas. He could be mistaken for Mr. Marsters younger brother. I made the comment to a friend that he was "a very beautiful Judas". Hehe.
Also, I have a new icon of screaming Spike from Beneath You which reads "All alone in my white boy pain!!" because Laura aka Snailtsunami gave me a copy of the Ben Folds song "Rockin' the Suburbs"... which reminds me of James and Spike in some ways. And that's the story.
Next week... I'm thinking of requesting an animated icon... with Spike receiving his soul from Lurky, but when Lurky removes his hand there's a blue pawprint on Spike's chest! It needs to read "We are looking for Blue's clues!"(1), then Spike with Lurky's hand on his chest and all the purdy glowy stuff (2), then Spike with the pawprint on his chest (3), then read "A clue? Where?" (4), back to Spike with the pawprint (5), "Oh! We need our handy dandy notebook!" (6), cut to cute little scribble of Spike, drawn by my friend alwzcokeacola (7), "That's our third clue! Now we need our thinking chair!" (8), cut to a picture of Steve in the thinking chair "What could Blue want to do with a box of crayons, a piece of paper, and souled!Spike?" (9), then "What's that? Blue wants to write bad slash with souled!Spike?" (10), and cut to Blue nodding (11), and finally "We just figured out Blue's clues!" (12).
That would take like a year to make at the least! Six months just to find all the perfect pictures. I can actually picture it in my head, but all the editing and graphics and animation would kill someone. It's my dream icon though. Heh. I know I'm sick for thinking of something so vile while using something as innocent as a blue CGI dog. I'd never be so cruel as to request that. I might request it as a joke though. Just kidding.
