What's sad with this comic, as with Willingham's and Armstrong's and S8, is that there could be a really decent story here, like a tight, compelling, entertaining story but... it just falls really flat. What the villains are doing doesn't make sense and seems like a Scooby Doo level of incompetence, and Williams can't keep his own continuity going for two issues not to mention the confusing layout decisions.

I popped over to Buffy Wikia to see about the Grappler demons, and from their description, the Grapplers in the comic probably are the same type of demon. Still, I stand by the laziest name for a species ever, and I'll use it as another example of Williams wanting to shoehorn a bunch of Ats/BtVS episode references so that people see that he's a "fan."
