fenderlove: James Marsters with Romeo and Juliet quote over it. (Default)

If you are ever in Chinatown, definitely check out Tea & Tea! It's a great little cafe! They have this drink there called a Sunrise Delight. It's so good. It's got orange juice, lemon juice, passion fruit juice, honey, and guava syrup all mixed together. Ooh, sooo delicious.
I finally got my DVD of "The Filth and the Fury: A Sex Pistols Film"! It's one of the most touching and hilarious films I've ever seen. I give it two thumbs way way up. It's worth $18 just for the outrageous animated sequences from the original 1978 documentary.
Also, Roko-chan and I watched "Sid and Nancy" last night. I couldn't say that 25% of the film is historically accurate... Hell, I don't think it would be an honest estimate to say 15% is accurate. Historical inaccuracies aside, I think it's an excellent film by itself. I'd happily reccommend it to anyone. The film, like the real Sid and Nancy, is about two nice people who went totally insane with love, with drugs, with life. It's light-hearted at moments and dark at others. It's harsh and violent and beautiful and romantic. I don't think it glorifies drug use; I think this film should be shown in schools in D.A.R.E. programs. Keep the dream alive... and don't get beat up by facists.
