I've been having a hard time lately with a lot of things- stress, projects, general feelings of absolute worthlessness. I can't seem to do anything right or even get things done. I can't even leave my room half the time because one of the three people I shared the apartment with (the one who used her room for storage only) has suddenly moved back because she's using her room as a bordello for her and her boyfriend. Every time I step outside, there he is, covered from the chin down with tattoos, acting like I'm in his space because I need to use the damn microwave. If I do happen to see him when he's absolutely not supposed to be here (like the other night at 2AM), he leaves, waits fifteen minutes, and comes back. What's worse is that this girl lives right next to the R.A! He's been using their shower! It's disgusting! The R.A. actually told that girl to hide him from me seeing him because I told her once before that I called the police on my roommates two semesters ago because he nearly attacked one of the other girls in the apartment and that I wasn't afraid to do it again if I had to. I live in these apartments because they should be safer. I don't want him here with an all access-pass to our bathrooms and anything we leave outside of our bedrooms. The R.A.'s almost as bad. Her boyfriend and his friends are constantly here passed the designated time, all up on our couch, talking loudly at all hours. She's the fricking R.A! She needs to show some respect for the rules!
Also, I made the R.A. finally call campus security on the guys upstairs last night at 3AM. Those boys were screaming and obviously fighting. They were throwing each other around so hard that they actually knocked two of our light fixtures from the ceiling. Now those guys are up there, all pissy cause they got yelled at FINALLY for their behavior (after two semesters of them acting this way with no repremand), and stomping around and bitching. I just want to go up there and slap them all.
I just want to vomit... or curl up in a little ball and never leave my room again... or both. Sigh.

Isn't there a Dean of Students or something like that? And if there is, touch him/her asap. No one should have to put up with this. It's wrong and dangerous.

Isn't there someone ABOVE the R.A. that you can report all this to? It's not reasonable.

i feel your pain. my roomates were weird freshman year and i stayed in my romo all the time. all the ra's in scarlett commons are lenient because they can be. i never checked people in the spend the night (though it was always girls and they just stayed in my room with me). it sucks that you are in such a bad situation. have you thought about non campus housing?
travis lives in university terrace right by campus (it only takes me 10 minutes to walk to todd) and it's not expensive. you can get a one bedroom for about 390 a month i think. that's cheaper than scarlett commons. and it's clean and travis' neighbors are mostly nice and quite. miki lives there too. you should really look into it.

The only person left I have to talk to is the Dean of Housing, because I've already been told by the Area Coordinator that if I make one more complaint about my neighbors, etc., that I'm going to lose my housing. God, I hate living here.

Right now, I stand losing on-campus housing all together if I make any more complaints. When they stopped taking my phone calls at the area desk, I called campus security (at the time, I thought the dude upstairs was beating his girlfriend). I was then warned by the Area Coordinator that if I made any more complaints about anything, I would be kicked out of my housing. I really, really hate living here.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to afford the off-campus housing (they might not give me as much scholarship money if I lived off-campus). And, as always, I have no car to get a job to help me pay for anything. Le sigh. I'm going to go insane from those guys upstairs sooner or later.

You see, the Area Coordinator and the R.A.s believe that I'm making it all up in my head and that I'm crazy. When they go and knock on the door of the apartment above me after I've called and made a complaint (I have to leave my name, etc. or else they won't check it out at all), the guys upstairs won't answer the door. They get very quiet and turn off all the lights and don't move around, so the R.A.s come and yell at me because "No one's even home! You're making it up for attention!" I've even had the R.A.s come into our apartment and let them listen to the noise before heading upstairs. They claim it's "the pipes" or "the building is settling." And I was like, "Yes, the building settling sounds just like a woman screaming and the sounds of stomping and slapping. When he kills her, I want you to promise me that you'll pay for the clean-up of her blood when it leaks through my ceiling." They got very ill-tempered when I told them that if they wouldn't do something about it I would call the real police. At that time, they assured me that I would definitely be arrested for making a false police report. *insert eyeroll* I actually got a reprimand letter last semester because I called campus security when some jerk-off was lighting fireworks outside of my window and it cracked the glass! It's ridiculous.
