I don't know. I really liked the Avengers. Planning to buy a copy. But maybe my view point is skewed-- I was a huge comics fan growing up. :-) What I loved was the storytelling. Somehow-- Whedon managed to work with an ensemble cast in a way that seemed ... seamless... to me, anyway. It was the transitions that I think I liked the most. On the other hand, I'm probably a little weird. :-)
