Bonekickers...

Oh, BBC, what were you thinking? Bonekickers is possibly the only show I can think of that seems to be trying to actively punish its viewers for having knowledge about history, forensics, anthropology, archaeology, and generally any and all common sense. It boggles the mind.

There's only ONE show there that does that? You should try watching US television. Especially the so-called History Channel.

The History Channel used to have standards before the advent of reality television. Even when they used to do their Nostradamus stuff before, they used to preface everything with a mostly accurate, researched historical backing and tried to explain why people looked (and still look) at Nostradomus and other prophets/soothsayers with a large historiographical context, psychological studies, and all important facts.

... Now, the History Channel is reduced to Ice Road Truckers, WWII stuff, conspiracy theories that ignore historical context, and ALIENS. And have you seen what's become of the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet? Buggerin' hell, what a mess! If it wasn't for Investigative Discovery, I wouldn't even watch television.

It was truly horrible, Burn Gorman was in one episode so I suffered through it, then I had to watch it to the end of the series just to see how bad it could be and it was bad...

I watched all 6 episodes, and I think a part of me died inside. Poor Burn. His character was killed by the ineptness of the writer staff of Bonekickers.

It may have been suicide, cause I doubt any of them wanted to survive to be written again.

Whatever it was, it was a mercy.

Oh god you've seen that have you? Utter crap isn't it. It got such a good kicking over here when It first aired and quite rightly too.

Oh, yes. I find it amusing that the BBC wanted to disavow it so much that when it came time to release the DVD of the six episodes that they gave it to their distribution competitor.
