You've got so much talent and I can't help but think he's one of these teachers who are extra-assholish to the students who they think have potential. Perhaps he thinks he's some sort of kick-ass kung fu master like the old guy with the long beard in Kill Bill 2, and thinks you're going to look back one day and be all grateful to him for being such a dick to you because he spurred you on to greatness... Then again perhaps he's just a prick! ;>

I'm sorry you're feeling depressed, you're a really good and hard working student and you inspire me a lot. I think you're a great person and am sure that a little time to relax and not have to deal with sorority angst/school will help. Are you going home for break?
