Thanks for sharing this. Having not seen CITW, I can't opine, but "subverting" the horror genre has been done (with varying degrees of success and actual subversiveness) for so long that I think the only truly subversive thing now would be to go back to the roots of it all and make a black and white horror film that takes itself absolutely seriously.
