Fender Cooks: Braised Beef in a Sangria/Mushroom Reduction.

I made food today. Lots of food. I'm trying to learn how to cook actual food rather than just baking sweets all the time. Today was the first time I cooked a really large meal. The main dish was, as the title states, braised beef in a sangria and mushroom reduction. The side dishes were corn, macaroni and cheese, rolls, and homemade mashed potatoes. I've never cooked beef outside of hamburger before, so this was a drastic step. It also took almost three hours to make. I think it was worth it though because my friends who came over to eat this feast were pleased with it.

Very good. Braises are an excellent way to start learning to cook and it certainly looks like you did a fine job. Keep it up and pretty soon you'll have a nice group of recipes to entertain with or just make yourself a meal you'll enjoy.
