I think maybe the biggest hole is why Dark Willow, instead of making some elaborate plan to have Buffy kill her, just didn't tell her about any of it sinks the whole thing. Completely. Why didn't that Robin girl just tell her since she could see the future? Why didn't Snake Woman just tell Willow?

It's the definition of an Idiot Plot. Everyone, up to and including the universe itself, had to act not just OOC, not just stupid, not just crazy, but at complete odds with their stated goals.
